Technology at Queen Anne School

As teachers and schools organize and communicate their experiences with researchers, clear evidence emerges to show that the use of educational technology can resolve some of the more difficult problems in human education.  Using the tools of technology, students can dramatically raise their knowledge levels, learn problem-solving techniques, develop the skills required to manage massive amounts of information, analyze concepts from several different perspectives, and develop the hard-to-quantify higher-order analytic and critical thinking skills required in the global marketplace.  While using technology, students rehearse the skills necessary for lifelong learning and productive employment in modern society with a heightened efficiency and a greater depth of understanding. Research also demonstrates that students who use technology are highly motivated.  The use of technology enables students to learn at their own pace in ways that are most compatible with individual learning needs.

To address our goal of keeping Queen Anne students and teachers current in the global, dynamic, information-intensive world, they must be equipped with more than paper, pencils, and books. Technology tools offer expanded access to educational resources and information, provide an effective and efficient delivery mechanism for educational services, and assist in meeting the increasing educational demands from a rapidly changing world.

Queen Anne School is dedicated to teaching students the skills and concepts they need to be successful leaders in an increasingly complex technology centered society.
