2/28 The Heights 81, QAS 48
Senior Larry Haley finished with 21 points in his final game for Queen Anne, as the Lions fell 81-48 to The Heights. Simon Pompey added 6 points in a losing effort.
2/27 WIS 46, QAS 34
The Varsity Boys came short against against WIS in the semifinals of the St. Anselm's Tournament, 46-34. They return to action in the 3rd place game, Sunday at 2:45 pm.
2/26 QAS 53, SWW 47
Senior Larry Haley finished with 18 points and 14 rebounds, and freshman Justin Ramey scored 10 of his 12 points in the 4th quarter to earn Game Ball honors and lead Queen Anne to a 53-47 win over School Without Walls in the St. Anselm’s Tournament. Senior Asa Battle added 8 points to help lift Queen Anne into the semifinals, where they will face Washington International School at 5:15 pm on Saturday.
2/18 Hebrew 48, @QAS 44
The Varsity Boys lost a heart-breaking PVAC Semifinal game to Hebrew Academy, 48-44. Dean Bolt played an amazing game in the defeat, tying for the team lead with 13 points. Freshman Justin Ramey added 13 points and 8 rebounds, but the Lions weren't able to hold a 10 point fourth quarter lead. The team finishes the season at the 63rd Annual St. Anselm's Tournament, starting off against School Without Walls on Friday 2/26 at 6:15 pm.
2/17 @QAS 52, McLean 15
The Varsity Boys moved onto the PVAC Semifinals with a dominant 52-15 victory over McLean. Larry Haley earned Game Ball honors, leading the way with 29 points. The Lions return to action at home on Thursday v. Hebrew Academy at 6:00 pm.
2/1 QAS 68, @GB-C 59
Senior Larry Haley grabbed a career high 25 rebounds to go with 18 points as Queen Anne took down rival Grace Brethren-Clinton on the road, 68-59. Freshman Justin Ramey finished with 19 points and 9 rebounds and junior Philip Kershaw earned Game Ball honors for his hard work on both ends of the court, finishing with 9 points. With the win, the Lions moved to 10-2 in the PVAC, continued their hold on first place in the South Division, and moved their winning streak to 5 games. The Lions return to action at Hebrew Academy Tuesday at 6:00 pm.
1/29 @QAS 60, St. Anselm's 50
Sophomore Lloyd Bramble scored a career high 19 points to lead Queen Anne to a 60-50 victory over St. Anselm’s. Senior Larry Haley had 22 points and 14 rebounds as Queen Anne and junior Philip Kershaw had 8 points and 6 rebounds to earn Game Ball honors as the Lions moved into sole possession of 1st place in the PVAC South Division. Queen Anne stretched its lead to 18 points at 54-36 in the 4th quarter before sustaining a late rally from visiting St. Anselm’s. The Lions are back in action Monday at 6:30 pm at Grace Brethren-Clinton.

The Varsity Boys defeated McLean 51-31 on Tuesday to run their win streak to 3 games. Senior Dean Bolt earned Game Ball honors, finishing with 8 points. With the win, the Lions moved to 8-2, setting up a key match-up with division rival St. Anselm's at home on Friday at 4:15 pm.

The Varsity Boys defeated the Field School 59-36 on Monday. Senior Dean Bolt earned Game Ball honors, leading the way with a career high 15 points. Freshman Justin Ramey also finished with 15 points, and senior Larry Haley added 12 points as the Lions moved into a tie for first in the PVAC South at 7-2. The Lions are back in action Tuesday v. McLean at 4:00 pm.
1/22 @QAS 51, WIS 42
The Varsity Boys defeated defending PVAC South champion WIS on Friday, 51-42. The Lions rode their stifiling defense to victory, led by sophomore Lloyd Bramble who earned Game Ball honors for his efforts on both ends of the floor. Bramble tallied 15 points, Larry Haley added 24 points and 15 rebounds, and Asa Battle hit 3 FTs late to seal the victory as the Lions moved to 6-2 in the PVAC. The Lions return to action on Monday at Field at 4:00 pm.

The Varsity Boys lost a hotly contested game to Jewish Day on Tuesday, 73-60. Freshman Justin Ramey led the team with 19 points, senior Larry Haley had 14 points, and sophomore Lloyd Bramble added 12. The Lions are back in action on Friday v. WIS at 5:30 pm.
1/15 @ICS 57, QAS 55
In their final non-conference game of the regular season, the Lions dropped a hotly contested battle at Indian Creek, 57-55. Senior Larry Haley led the team with 19 points in a losing effort and junior Philip Kershaw hit some key baskets, finishing with a season-high 9 points. The Lions return to conference play taking on JDS, who is undefeated in league play, at home on Tuesday at 6:15 pm.
1/13 @QAS 75, Chelsea 55
Senior Larry Haley was honored before the game for reaching the 1000 pt milestone for his career and then hit the floor running, finishing with 27 points and 14 rebounds to lead Queen Anne to a 75-55 victory over Chelsea. Senior Asa Battle out-battled brother Kendall Battle, finishing with 12 points for the Lions. The team returns to action at Indian Creek on Friday at 6:00 pm.
1/9 MSD 63, QAS 54
Senior Larry Haley scored his 1000th career point during the finals of the Oriole Classic in Frederick, MD on Saturday, but the Varsity Boys still fell 63-54. Haley is only the third QAS player to score 1000 points since 2000, and the first to do so in only his third year of varsity play. Haley and freshman Justin Ramey were both named to the All-Tournament team. The Lions return to action at home against Chelsea on Wednesday at 5:30 pm.
1/8/10 QAS 47, Heritage 32 (at Oriole Classic)
Senior Larry Haley finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds and freshman Justin Ramey led all scorers with 19 points to earn Game Ball honors as Queen Anne advanced to the finals of the Oriole Classic in Frederick, MD with a victory over Heritage Academy, 47-32. Queen Anne pulled away with their suffocating defense, particularly in the second half when they held Heritage to 9 points and only 3 FGs. The Lions will face host Maryland School for the Deaf in the finals at 8:00 pm Saturday.

The Varisty Boys journeyed to the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center in Salisbury, MD for the NHSCA Festival Dec 27-29. Seniors Larry Haley and Asa Battle participated in the Skills Competition, with Haley falling just 2 shots short of the finals in the 3-point shootout. The Lions then battled it out with 3 public schools. While falling short in all three games and losing Haley to injury late in the first match-up, the team showed a lot of growth over the course of the trip and return much-improved. Freshman Justin Ramey led the team in scoring for the trip with 12.7 ppg and sophomore Lloyd Bramble added 10 ppg. The Lions are back in action at the Oriole Classic, January 8-9 in Frederick, MD.
12/16 @QAS 50, Covenant Life 47
Senior Larry Haley tallied his 7th straight double-double, finishing with 21 points and 14 rebounds to lead Queen Anne to its 6th straight victory, 50-47 over Covenant Life. Haley was at his best in the 4th quarter, scoring Queen Anne’s final 7 points as the Lions withstood a late rally from Covenant Life. Junior reserve David Caldwell also came up big for Queen Anne, scoring 5 points while defending Covenant Life’s 6’7” star J.D. Garris to earn his first ever Game Ball. Queen Anne enters Christmas Break 7-3 overall and ready to head to the NHSCA Festival in Salisbury, MD.
12/15 QAS 49, @EBS 48
The Varsity Boys ran their winning streak to 5 games with a nail-biting road win over Edmund Burke, 49-48. Senior Larry Haley notched his sixth straight double-double, ending with 23 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Lions and earn Game Ball honors, who now stand at 4-1 in the PVAC. The team is back in action with a key home conference match-up against Covenant Life on Wednesday at 5:30 pm.
12/12 QAS 64, @SSFS 25
The Varsity Boys ran their winning streak to 4 games with a dominant defense performance at Sandy Spring on Saturday. The Lions took a commanding 39-8 halftime lead with a combination of efficient offense and stifling defense. Freshman Justin Ramey led the way with 16 points nad 5 steals and senior Larry Haley tallied his fifth straight double, ending with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Senior Asa Battle had 11 points, and senior Dean Bolt and sophomore Lloyd Bramble grabbed 7 rebounds each as the Lions moved to 3-1 in the PVAC and 5-3 overall. The team is back in action at Edmund Burke on Tuesday at 5:30 pm.
12/10 @QAS 77, Grace Brethren-Clinton 61
Senior Larry Haley notched his 4th straight double-double, finishing with 30 points, 20 rebounds, and 6 assists to lead Queen Anne past rival Grace Brethren, 77-61. Senior Asa Battle had a career high 15 points including 4 three-pointers as well as 9 rebounds to earn Game Ball honors for the Lions, who won their 3rd straight game. The team is back in action Saturday at Sandy Spring.
12/8 QAS 62, @St. Anselm's 55
Queen Anne rallied from an early 6-point deficit led by senior Larry Haley's third straight double-double to take down previously undefeated host St. Anselm's, 62-55. Freshman Justin Ramey finished with 21, including 12/14 from the foul line down the stretch to earn Game Ball honors and senior Asa Battle hit a key three-pointer in the 4th quarter as part of his season-high 10 points. The Lions are back in action on Thursday at home at 6:00 against rival Grace Brethren--Clinton.
12/4 @QAS 69, Lanham Christian 53
Senior Larry Haley registered his second straight double-double, finishing with 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 8 assists to lead Queen Anne to a 69-53 victory over Lanham Christian. Freshman Justin Ramey had 22 points, 6 assists, and 4 steals, seniors Dean Bolt and Asa Battle added 9 and 8 respectively as the Lions used a 27-8 third quarter run to move to 2-3 on the season.
12/2 Avalon 65, @QAS 62
Queen Anne fell to visiting Avalon 65-62 in varsity boys basketball on Wednesday, despite a career-high 36 points and 15 rebounds from senior Larry Haley. Senior guard Dean Bolt scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, and freshman Justin Ramey added 9 points and 9 assists as the Lions rallied from a double-digit deficit to tie the game late in the 4th quarter before succumbing by 3.
12/1 @WIS 42, QAS 35
The Varsity Boys dropped their conference opener at defending-PVAC Champion WIS on Tuesday, 42-35. The Lions fell behind early, and though they were able to pull within 2 in the second half, were never able to close the gap. Freshman Justin Ramey led QAS with 15 points and Sophomore Jesse Dawkins showed great hustle on both ends of the floor. Sophomore Lloyd Bramble did a great job defensively as well. The Lions are back in action tonight against Avalon at 5:00 pm.
11/23 @Chapelgate 89, QAS 49
The Varsity Boys dropped their first away game at Chapelgate Christian, 89-49. Chapelgate jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, as the Lions trailed by 29 at the half. Justin Ramey led QAS with 12 points and Asa Battle finished with 7 points, all in the first quarter. The Lions open their PVAC slate at WIS on Tuesday 12/1 at 5:30 pm.
11/20 @QAS 53, Grace Christian 31
The Varsity Boys came out hot against Grace Christian, grabbing a 22-2 first quarter lead and never looking back en route to a 53-31 victory. Larry Haley led the way with 18 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 steals, and Dean Bolt earned Game Ball honors for his smothering defense including an excellent late game drawn charge. The Lions head to Chapelgate on Monday for a tough road test.
