ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Dean Bolt
Dean Bolt distinguished himself as the athlete of the week with his play in the second half of the Boys’ Varsity Soccer game against Grace-Brethern Clinton on Tuesday. Arguably, however, Dean has earned this honor over the entire season through his leadership, commitment, and intensity of play. Tuesday’s game was no exception to the quality of character and skill Dean has brought to the field all year. Despite a tough overtime loss, without Dean’s dominant play in the midfield the Lions would have fared much worse against a tough Clinton squad. Dean influenced each dimension of the game, creating a number of scoring opportunities for Queen Anne and spoiling a number of them for Grace Clinton. It is a pleasure to recognize and applaud his achievements throughout this year and his play in this game in particular. Congratulations to Dean Bolt, QAS Athlete of the Week!
